Lovely Long Cycle

Have a look at this stunning info graphic from Denis Vasilev

The Long Cycle is the king of kettlebell lifts. To get it right takes fair bit of learning, but this graphic is one of the clearest explanations I've ever seen. Notice the vertical red line and how the bells stay on that line through the Jerk, meaning the bells are always inside your base of support. But on the swing portions, the head and the bells are on opposite sides of the line acting to counterbalance each other.

There's a lot more to this lift than brute force. It's almost like Judo in that you "dance" with the bells, move with them and use their weight and momentum to your advantage. Great info graphic
