What is an investment?
This is what the Cambridge dictionary said
The act of putting money, effort, time, etc. into something to make a profit or get an advantage, or the money, effort, time, etc.
One of the best things we can invest in is our health, mental and physical.
Where can we start ?
Stop smoking, don’t drink to much, move, eat well, spent time with Family and Friends and get your blood checked once a year.
You get an NCT test for your car every year, why not to get an NCT on yourself.
By training our bodies, working on our mobility and eating well we are putting some money, effort and time into it, this will pay off sooner or later.
The advantage will be that we are going to be in better shape than many others who didn't invest the time and effort into all those things.
Lifting weights may prevent someone from developing osteoporosis or their mental state may improve. Having a good diet and exercising may prevent you from getting sick.
My dad has been recently diagnosed with type 2 diabetes, if he’d listen to me, he most likely wouldn’t develop it in the first place, but did a father ever listened to his son? Nope, don’t thinks so, they always know everything better :D.
Now he is losing weight, getting out for walks and eating better, and his condition is improving, he is investing time and effort into getting better which will pay of soon.
Do a little every day, some small changes can make a big difference. Add a little bit more protein into your diet, do a couple of squats, push ups every day, meet with a Friend for a coffee and chat, go for a walk.
Invest in your health now and reap the rewards sooner or/and later.
All the best
Seb
