Back to the Kettles today, the wrist must have just been bruised and needing a rest, tried a few experimental cleans this morning and it felt good to go.
I was struggling to get my motivation up, so i set the iPod to play randomly through the Metal Genre, the first thing that came on was “Ain’t No Feeble Bastard” from Soulfly, I guess the iPod was trying to tell me something!
Here’s what happened today:
Warm Up: long cycle (all doubles): 16 x 5, 24 x 5, 32 x 5 x 2
Work: Long Cycle (all doubles): 32 x 11, 28 x 10, 24 x 12, 20 x max (lost ability to count at this stage), 16 x max, 12 x max, 16 x max, 20 x max, 24 x max, 28 x max, 32 x max (3 I think), all without rest.
That pretty much sucked! But again iPod didn’t let me down by providing me with Metallica’s “Seek & Destroy” from the Binge & Purge live album, a great track to work extended sets to as it’s so damn long!
Training again tomorrow, then it’s taper time for the comp the following sat.
