Training Log – 10th & 11th /2/11

Level II - The Get Up, dissected

Turkish Get Up, as taught on the Level 2 workshop


Didn’t post yesterdays training, so here it is:

Worked with the class tonight, good session, all weights listed are my own, the guys worked at their own pace:

Warm Up: Mobility 3 level Kettlebell swings, 2H/L/R

Work Sets:

32kg Turkish Get Up x 5l/r 44kg Turkish Get Up x 3l/r

1A: 32kg Jerks x 5 1B: 28kg Alternating Cleans x however long it took my partner to do his jerks!” 3 rounds

Pistol Squats x 1l/r, 2l/r, 3l/r, 4l/r, 5l/r

Double 28kg swings outside leg / plank (with partner) x 10/20/30/20/10

5 mins stretch and done!

Now for todays effort. Trained after this mornings bootcampers left, they worked damn hard and got me fired up, so I jumped right in:

Warm Up: 4 mins skipping 1 Arm Long Cycle x 10l/r of 12, 16, 24, 32

Work Sets: Long Cycle x 10 x 12, 16, 24, 32, 32, 24, 16, 12

Skipping / 24kg 2H Swing, 2 minute rounds alternating between drills for 10 mins.

5 mins stretch and done!

Now time for some coffee and scrambled eggs!
