Should You Train While Injured?

Writer: Dave HedgesDave Hedges

With the client base I work with the most at Wg-Fit, ie those involved in Combat, Contact and Extreme sports, it’s not unusual to see people in getting their training done despite being injured.

So much so that an area of our gym has become affectionately known as “cripple corner” by my clients.

And cripple corner is getting busier and busier as more people are coming in specifically for rehabilitation purposes which we offer by way of the Anatomy in Motion assessments followed by very specific program development.

In fact, it’s rare that I advocate any of my guys take time out at all after injury.

And just the other day I came across an article from top Strength coach Eric Cressey who lists out the reasons as to why he has the same approach and has his guys come straight back into him even post surgery.

And if Cressey performance is a bit to far for you to commute, drop me a line and we’ll get you in and on the road to recovery in no time.
