    A Simple Hip Opening Sequence

    Stretching is far from my favourite topic, but that doesn’t mean I don’t do it or teach it. Usually I like people to move with their stretches, I’m not a fan of pure static work. I find the body responds better to movement. The reasons for why the body responds better to movement seem to change every few years depending on whichever study is currently at the forefront, so I’ve stopped thinking too much about it. It works. It always has done. I reckon it always will do. This

    Yoga / Pilates Classes Start THIS Saturday

    Quick reminder: Yoga / Pilates / Somatic Movement Training – Saturday 9.15am at Wild Geese. This is something we’ve wanted to introduce to our studio for some time but have always struggled to find a decent instructor that we can trust in.     Kettles, Yoga and Fit for Whatever

    Fitness. What is it? Back at personal trainer school they tell you that it is “the ability to carry out the daily tasks with enough energy to spare for recreation” or something equally wishy washy. For me and most of the Wild Geese regulars, fitness is so much more than that. Fitness is about the ability to do and keep doing, it’s living without the fear that your body will fail, it’s about having a mind that can override the bodies pain signals, ignore it’s pleas for mercy

    This Sunday I’m running the Level 1 Kettlebell Lifting Workshop from 11am at Wild Geese HQ. There are a couple of spots left open if you wish to attend.
